Horrific moment Glasgow gang armed with machetes and knives threaten boy in Argyle Street

A teenage boy was rushed to hospital with head injuries following a violent attack in Glasgow city centre.

Footage from the incident, which happened around 8.30pm on Thursday (July 1), shows a gang of thugs armed with machetes and knives threatening a 16-year-old boy on Argyle Street before fleeing the scene.

The group of youths were caught on camera shouting at the boy, who is seen being struck on the back of the head.

Alarming footage shows the teenager trying to cross the road in a bid to escape the violent thugs, before one of the assailants follows him onto the road swinging a machete in his hand.

He appears to be filming the sick attack on a mobile phone, reported the Daily Record.

One member of the gang then shouts 'remember my name p****' after the vicious assault.

All of the attackers in the video which was posted on social media are described as being young black males.

Three of the youths are wearing black tracksuits while the youth with the machete is dressed all in grey.

A fifth youth is wearing a blue tracksuit and black hat.
