Police have released shocking CCTV which shows a woman and her dog being mowed down by an out-of-control car.
The footage then shows a number of people running away from the scene as the woman and her beloved pet are left for dead.
Miraculously, the woman survived, but her precious pet dog Millie tragically died at the side of the road.
The collision happened just before 5pm on Wednesday, 22 July on Doe Bank Lane in Great Barr.
West Midlands Police are now appealing for information on the people seen running away from the black Renault Clio after the collision.
A black Vauxhall Astra is also seen stopping further down the road after the Clio swerves.
Police believe that the two cars were travelling together and the people are probably friends with each other.
