'Horrible' This Morning caller slammed for wanting grandad to stop visiting her

A 'horrible' This Morning caller has been slammed for wanting her lonely grandad to stop visiting her.

During a phone-in on being unreasonable, 'Sally' told the presenters that she was sick and tired of her grandfather turning up at her house "uninvited" every day.

Hosts John Barrowman and Rochelle Humes wanted to know what the issue was as they tried to hold back the giggles.

'Sally', which was not her real name, said he kept coming round to visit her and her newborn baby.

She told This Morning psychologist Emma Kenny that was worried about offending her grandad, who was downstairs asleep on the couch when she rang in.

Giving her advice, Emma said: "I think you're dealing with your grandad's loneliness a bit more here. I don't think its about you and the baby.

"He likes being with you. He loves the idea of being involved in the generations that you've created for him. He's just liking getting to know that space with you.

"But you're going to have to lovingly create some compassionate boundaries."

When asked if she could give him specific days and times to come round, 'Sally' said she feared he would feel like a "burden".

Emma told her to think about her own needs and positive about her relationship with her grandad.

Presenter Rochelle Humes suggested not being home when he turns up, while John said she could meet him out of the house.

'Sally' revealed that she missed a baby class because her grandad had parked his car across the drive.

John defended the grandad by saying he only had good intentions and joked he might have woken up and started watching the TV.

Emma said: "He's lovely but he's a bit unreasonable with those boundaries."

Upset This Morning viewers took to Twitter after the phone-in to voice their anger.

One viewer said: "Why’s sally being so horrible appreciate your grandad while he’s around not everyone is lucky to have one and he won’t always be there"

"This girl’s grandad who visits her every day & she doesn’t want him to. I AM SOBBING," added another.

A third said: "One day he ain't gonna be around and she will regret saying this"

A fourth agreed: "Grandad might be lonely, what a horrible granddaughter!"
