A dangerous teenage gang battered a man coming off a train in Dublin hitting him until he "collapsed".
The victim, who wished to remain anonymous, told Dublin Live that he was jumped by the group in north Dublin and punched right in the nose before being pummeled with several more hits.
He said that the teens had been trying to get his attention, shouting and roaring at him and when he ignored them, they assaulted him.
He told Dublin Live: "I was just getting off the train as normal heading home and these teenagers happened to be standing in front of the exit way to the stairs.
"I was minding my own business and walked ahead but one of them gave me a punch right in the nose and it was followed by several more
"They followed me home until I fell on the ground bleeding bad."
He said the ordeal was understandably a "very traumatic experience" for him.
He continued: "They continued to follow me home until I collapsed on the ground with blood dripping down my face.
"My face was red, eye was swollen, nose was crooked and had bruises on the side of my head and ear.
"It was a traumatic experience and a reflection of just how dangerous the world can be."
He said he now lives in fear following the attack which is currently being investigated by the Gardai.
He said: "I genuinely am frightened at the thoughts of going on a train or bus again.
"Things need to change big time, just looking at all these stories of people sharing similar negative experiences with public transport as me. It’s a disgrace.
He added: "There is absolutely no excuse for what has happened here."
