Hornsey stabbing: First picture of man, 47, killed in north London knife attack

This is the first picture of a 47-year-old man who was stabbed to death in Hornsey, who police have named as James O'Keefe.

The Met released the image and named the victim after they charged George Nolan, 54, with his murder on Wednesday.

Mr O'Keefe was stabbed at a residential address in Shelley House on Boyton Road in Hornsey on Monday.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service just after 6pm following reports of a fight.

They found Mr O'Keefe suffering from a stab wound to his leg. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination conducted at Haringey Public Mortuary on Wednesday found the cause of death was loss of blood due to a single stab wound to the thigh.

Nolan, of Mount Pleasant Road, appeared in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

He was further remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday.
