After dropping a heartbreaking defeat at the buzzer just three games ago, the Golden State Warriors will have a chance at redemption against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night at Chase Center.
With Draymond Green receiving a pair of technicals in the final seconds, the Hornets quickly erased Golden State’s two-point lead with two free throws with only seconds remaining. Following the pair of free throws, Terry Rozier drilled a game-winning jumper at the buzzer to crush the Warriors in a wild finish, 102-100.
Along with Green’s late ejection, Steph Curry was scratched from the contest just before tip off due to not feeling well. With the 2021 All-Star starting point guard healthy and back in the lineup, Curry and the Warriors will have another crack at his hometown team.
Adding to the matchup, James Wiseman will be in the rotation against fellow 2020 top pick LaMelo Ball. In Golden State’s trip to Charlotte, Wiseman was sidelined with a sprained wrist, spoiling a potential duel between the No. 2 and No. 3 draft picks from 2020.
