Hornets vs. Mavs Recap: The good, the bad and the LaMelo Ball

On the heels of their first win of the season, the Hornets followed up with another impressive victory on Wednesday, knocking off Dallas on the road, 118-99.

The Hornets controlled the first quarter but saw the Mavericks fight valiantly behind four threes from Maxi Kleber to trail just 36-29. However, Charlotte started to take over in the second quarter, opening the lead up to 11 points by halftime.

Charlotte put the dagger in the Mavericks to open the third quarter, scoring the first 14 points of the half. The third period overall served as the nail in the proverbial coffin as Charlotte won the period 30-12.

LaMelo Ball led the Hornets in scoring with 22 while Miles Bridges had 20, both off the bench. Terry Rozier had 18 points.
