LiAngelo Ball is now officially a Charlotte Hornet.
On Thursday, the Hornets announced that they had signed the middle Ball brother to a non-guaranteed deal.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the plan is for Ball to play for the Hornets’ G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm. On Monday, Ball agreed to a contract with the G League and planned to enter the Oct. 23 draft before striking a deal with the Hornets.
In five games with the Hornets during summer league, LiAngelo averaged 9.6 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 34.5% from 3-point range.
The addition of Ball brings the Hornets roster to 19 players.
