'Hope there's a recall option' - Chelsea fans can't believe what forgotten man Kenedy has done

Forgotten Chelsea man Kenedy has reminded the club what he is capable of after scoring an incredible solo goal for Granada on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old is currently on his fourth loan spell away from his parent club having previously had spells at Watford, Newcastle, and Getafe since he joined Chelsea six years ago. His wonder strike was his second of the season for seventh-placed Granada and helped his side to a 2-2 draw away to former Arsenal manager Unai Emery's high-flying Villareal.

The Brazilian was brought to Chelsea in 2015 from Fluminese but he has only made 15 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring just one goal back in 2016, and it certainly was not of this caliber.

Kenedy picked the ball up from the right-wing, he cut inside onto his strong left foot and beat his man twice.

He then took it past another player as he moved into the middle of the pitch, before hammering a ferocious left-footed effort into the top corner.

After seeing his wonder strike on Wednesday some Blues fans are calling for the left midfielder to return to the club and fight for a place in Frank Lampard's team.

Despite Chelsea's recent slump in form, a recall to the Blues seems unlikely.

Kenedy has not made an appearance for the Blues since an FA Cup third-round tie against Norwich in 2018 and his future seems firmly away from Stamford Bridge.

His current loan spell runs until the end of this season and his contract has a further 12-months to run on that, with it expiring in June 2022.
