Hope For Justice Walk will shine spotlight on world of modern slavery

Walkers will hit the streets to promote a special message of positivity.

The Hope For Justice Walk will highlight the plight of those caught in a world of modern slavery.

And those taking part will be encouraged to take their shirts off their backs – and turn them inside out for the duration of the walk.

It’s all part of the event which takes place tomorrow (Saturday).

Walkers had originally been set to head off from Prestwick’s New Life Church and cover anything from one to 20 miles as part of a nationwide event.

But a tightening of Covid restrictions means walkers will now cover their own individual treks before recording their efforts by way of pictures and social media.

The church’s Scott Nicol, pictured with Heather Smith, said: “We want to draw attention to the amazing work Hope For Justice do in preventing exploitation, rescuing victims, restoring lives and reforming society. “
