A hooded thug set off a huge firework explosion at a takeaway as his friends stood by and laughed from across the street.
Moonlight Takeaway, on Westminster Road in Kirkdale, was targeted by the yob on Thursday, October 15 as staff worked inside.
Footage shows a man approaching the shop with his face obscured, before throwing a firework in through the door and running across the road.
The firework can then be seen going off inside the store, filing the takeaway with a bright flash and plumes of smoke.
The entire attack was filmed from across the street, with footage capturing male voices laughing and saying "he hasn't got a clue" about the unsuspecting takeaway worker.
Another voice can be heard shouting: "Ah he's running out to get it [the firework]" before a loud bang goes off inside the takeaway.
A high pitched laugh can be heard from one of the men, as he records his friend running up to the takeaway.
The manager of Moonlight, Amir, told the ECHO : "He came by the door and had his face covered.
"He threw in the firework and next thing it was just, bang, bang, bang, and the smoke filled the store.
"It damaged some tiles on the wall and floor but thankfully no one was hurt."
Amir explained that this same thing had happened a few times during October last year and that staff just wanted to be left alone.
He claimed that previously attacks were carried out by kids - but this time he says the attacker looked considerably older.
He added: "This happened last year, a few times, and no one was hurt then either thankfully.
"It was kids then, almost doing it as a prank.

"But this was a man and his friends just watched him do it and laugh before driving off."
Amir said that the incident had been reported to the police but that they just wanted to be left alone.
He said: "It is very sad they would do this to us."
