Honkai: Star Rail – Bronya build and ascension guide

The best Honkai: Star Rail Bronya build brings out the most of her support abilities, boosting your allies with stronger buffs and activating ultimates more frequently.

Bronya is the heir to the leader of Belobog, bends the wind to her will, and follows the Path of Harmony, which means most of her skills center on support – not offense.

As of the RPGs launch, Bronya is one of the best supporters and best characters in the game, earning a spot in the S class of our Star Rail tier list

Honkai Star Rail – Bronya: Skills

Bronya’s skill is Combat Redeployment, which increases an ally’s damage for one turn and dispels one debuff from them. It also lets them take their next turn immediately after Bronya. Combat Redeployment is an invaluable asset to any team, leting you reshape turn order and immediately pull off strong attacks or vital heals.

The Belobog March, Bronya’s ultimate, boosts the attack of all allies by 33 percent and raises their critical hit damage by an amount that scales off Bronya’s critical hit damage for two turns.

Her talent is just as good. Every time she uses a basic attack, her next turn will come 15 percent sooner.

Bronya’s Eidolons, which you gain after pulling her repeatedly, are brilliant as well: They give her a 50% chance to regain a Skill Point after Skill usage (Level 1) and add a 30% Speed boost to her Skill’s effects (Level 2). They enable her to launch follow-up attacks as well (Level 4), slightly boosting her own damage output. Finally, her Eidolons increase the duration of the buffs from her Skill by another turn (Level 6), allowing her to spread the effects out to other allies or attack more often by herself. Each of these feels really worthwhile.

Honkai: Star Rail – Bronya: Best Light Cones

Bronya’s best Light Cone is her signature one: But The Battle Isn’t Over Yet. It boosts the wearer’s energy regeneration rate, which means she gets to use her ultimate more frequently. This Light Cone also gives you an extra skill point when the wearer uses their ultimate.

When the wearer uses their skill, the next ally gets a 30 percent damage buff – and since Bronya basically controls who gets to go next, you can also control who gets the buff.

Best Light Cones for Bronya:

  • The Battle Isn’t Over (5-Star)
  • Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds (4-Star)
  • Memories of the Past (4-Star)
  • Chorus (3-Star)

Honkai: Star Rail – Bronya: Best Relics

Critical hit damage, speed, and energy regeneration are the most important stats for Bronya, and you should choose your Relics with that in mind. As of Star Rail’s launch, there’s not really a Relic set that does all of this for Bronya, so your best bet is either mixing sets or focusing on one specific stat.

Best Relic Sets for Bronya:

  • Eagle of the Twilight Line (4) – +10 percent Wind Damage, wearer’s next action is advanced forward by 25 percent after their Ultimate
  • Musketeer of Wild Wheat (4) – +12 percent attack, +10 percent basic attack damage, and +6 percent speed
  • Thief of Shooting Meteor (4) – +16 percent break effect and another +16 percent break effect at four pieces, regenerates three energy when the wearer inflicts weakness break on an enemy

Our preferred pick is the Eagle set, since it helps ensure Bronya acts again quickly. Wild Wheat is a nice second pick that gives slight buffs all around. Shooting Meteor works, but mainly for energy regeneration. Bronya won’t be doing much attacking, so any weakness breaks will be fairly rare and only come from basic attacks.

Best Planar Ornaments for Bronya:

  • Fleet of the Ageless (2) – +12 percent maximum HP, +8 percent Attack for all allies when the wearer’s Speed is 120 or higher
  • Sprightly Vonwacq (2) – +5 percent energy regeneration, the wearer’s action gets advanced forward by 40 percent upon entering battle when their Speed is 120 or higher

Prioritize the following Relic and Planar Ornament stats for Bronya:

  • Head – HP (Primary), Critical Hit Damage %, Speed, Break Effect %, Critical Hit Rate %
  • Hands – Attack (Primary), Critical Hit Damage %, Speed, Break Effect %, Critical Hit Rate %
  • Body – Critical Hit Damage % (Primary), Speed, Break Effect %, Critical Hit Rate %, Attack %
  • Feet – Speed (Primary), Critical Hit Damage %, Break Effect %, Critical Hit Rate %, Attack %
  • Planar Sphere – Wind Damage % (Primary), Critical Hit Damage %, Speed, Break Effect %, Critical Hit Rate %
  • Link Rope – Energy Regeneration Rate % (Primary), Critical Hit Damage %, Speed, Break Effect %, Critical Hit Rate %

Honkai: Star Rail – Bronya: best teams

Bronya works basically with everyone, but we’ve found her particularly effective with this setup.

  • Seele (Main DPS)
  • Bronya (Support)
  • Asta (Support)
  • Bailu (Healer)

This team is built specifically to support Seele. Bronya will buff Seele’s attack and critical hit damage, while manipulating the turn order to help Seele act again more quickly.

Asta will raise the party’s characters’ speed, which helps complement Bronya’s buff and puts Seele in action even more often. Finally is Bailu, whose excellent skills keep everyone healthy. If you have Bailu’s later Eidolons unlocked, she can even provide a small damage buff as well.

Natasha is a great – and free – alternative for those without Bailu. Shielders like March 7th, Gepard, and the Fire Trailblazer are possible additions to this team. If you need some extra damage reduction, consider swapping Asta out for one of them.

Once Jing Yuan shows up in the latter half of version 1.0, he’s also worth considering for a Bronya team as your main DPS, though really, any damage dealer benefits from having Bronya around.

Honkai: Star Rail – Bronya ascension materials

This is what Bronya needs to reach level 80.

  • Credits: 308,000
  • Silvermane Badge: 15
  • Silvermane Insignia: 15
  • Silvermane Medal: 15
  • Storm’s Eye: 65

Silvermane items come from enemies in the Outlying Snow Plains and the Corridor of Fading Echoes, and you can find them in the Simulated Universe. You can create or exchange them through the Omni-Synthesizer on the Astral Express, too. Silvermane Badges are one of the materials you can farm without much hassle by completing Daily Assignments with your characters.

Storm’s Eye drops from the Stormbringer in Rivet Town, or you can get it through the item exchange.

Bronya requires the following materials to upgrade her combat abilities and Traces:

  • Credits: 3,000,000
  • Silvermane Badge: 41
  • Silvermane Insignia: 56
  • Silvermane Medal: 58
  • Harmonic Tune: 18
  • Ancestral Hymn: 69
  • Stellaris Symphony: 139
  • Guardian’s Lament: 12
  • Tracks of Destiny: 8

Harmonic Tune, Ancestral Hymn, and Stellaris Symphony come from the Calyx at the Robot Settlement in Belobog’s Underworld. You can create the high-level materials by using up lower-level materials in the Omni-Synthesizer on the Astral Express.

Guardian’s Lament is a rarer material you can only get from the Echo of War (Everwinter Hill) Domain, and Tracks of Destiny come from obtained during time-limited events, the Embers Exchange, the Nameless Honor, or as a Simulated Universe Points Reward.
