HONG KONG -- Hong Kong pro-democracy activist Agnes Chow appeared in a video uploaded to YouTube following her release on bail Tuesday night after being arrested by Hong Kong police.
In the video, she said in Japanese, "It was scary because I was arrested without being able to psychologically prepare for it."
While she was detained on Monday under the new national security law, her lawyers informed her of the voices of support coming from Japan.
"Thank you all so much. Please continue to keep an eye on the situation in Hong Kong," she said.
