Connections have plumped for the mares' hurdle in the 2020 Cheltenham Festival build-up with Honeysuckle.
Henry de Bromhead's six-year-old is unbeaten in seven races and could have contested the Unibet Champion Hurdle on March 10 instead.
Peter Molony, who purchased the Grade One winner, tweeted: "After much deliberation & discussion with @HenrydeBromhead & Kenny Alexander, Honeysuckle will go for The Close Brothers Hurdle @CheltenhamRaces next Tuesday & not The Champion."
Honeysuckle's intended target on day one is over 2m 4f, a distance she has thrived over this season.
Last time out, she had to fight to preserve her perfect record over the Champion Hurdle trip, when a slow jump at the final flight stalled her momentum.
Yet to race at Cheltenham, she could face another top mare Benie Des Dieux, if she is not rerouted elsewhere.
He trainer Willie Mullins has made the Close Brothers Mares' Hurdle his own, winning 9 of the 12 renewals.
De Bromhead said it was a 'tough decision' to go for the race but that there is no turning back.
