
Honda Motor Co. unveiled to the press on Friday the GYRO e, an electric business scooter that was launched in March for corporate customers.
The three-wheeled electric scooter can run up to 72 kilometers on a single charge, and the replaceable battery can be recharged using a household power source.
Honda intends to mainly have it be used in the package delivery service industry and said the GYRO e has the capability to haul 30 kilograms of cargo uphill.
The price for the scooter costs 550,000 yen including tax. The battery and charger, which are only leased, are sold separately.
