Honda Motor Co. (HMC) has issued a recall of some of its Odyssey minivans.
The company announced over the weekend that it will recall 900,000 Odysseys after it received 46 reports of minor injuries linked to an issue that causes second-row seats to tip forward.
The recall includes Odysseys from model year 2011 through model year 2017. Of the 900,000 affected units, 800,000 were sold in the U.S. The vehicle issue can cause the second-row seat to fall forward if not properly latched. Honda has posted instructions for how to properly latch the seat after adjusting it on its website.
"If a second-row seat is not properly latched after adjusting it side-to-side or installing a removed seat, the seat may tip forward during moderate to heavy braking," Honda wrote, "increasing the risk of injury to an occupant."
Honda stock has traded higher about 12% since the start of the year and finished Friday, Nov. 17, higher 0.03% to $32.62.
