Homicide police question two men after body of young woman found at Welshpool business

Police are questioning two men after the body of a 26-year-old woman was found in an industrial area in Welshpool, in Perth's south-east.

The body was discovered at an asbestos removal and demolition business in Treasure Road at 11:45pm yesterday.

The area was cordoned off and Homicide Squad detectives are investigating.

Two men, aged in their 30s and 40s, are assisting police with their inquiries but no charges have been laid.

Police urged anyone with information on the incident to come forward.

Police Minister Michelle Roberts said there was no risk to public safety.

"It's very sad for the young woman, her family and relatives, but I am reassured that police have two people in custody that they've got further questions for," she said.

"Generally, where people are taken into custody fairly quickly, there is a connection between the deceased and others.

"Police don't believe anyone who has caused harm to the woman is at liberty."
