Homework's done, sir! Gary Neville hits back at Harry Redknapp with managerial stats

Gary Neville has hit back at Harry Redknapp's criticism of his record at Valencia by doing the "homework" asked of him.

Neville called Tottenham "spineless, soft and pathetic" in their search for trophies before Mauricio Pochettino's appointment, which former manager Redknapp took exception to.

Redknapp, who managed Spurs for four years until his sacking in 2012, called Neville's comments "an absolute disgrace" before suggesting the former defender "needs to do some homework" when coming out with similar in the future.

Redknapp concluded by having a pop at Neville's failed first foray into management, which saw him sacked after winning just 14 points from 16 games.

He said on talkSPORT: "And listen, we can all come back – when he managed Valencia they were the worst Valencia team probably not just in the last 30 years but in their history."

Neville has responded in kind, replying to talkSPORT's tweet of Redknapp's audio with a spreadsheet comparing his record to Redknapp's last two jobs in management.

"Homework's done Sir," he posted.

In summary, Neville's "worst Valencia team in their history" had a higher win percentage and lower loss percentage than both QPR and Birmingham under Redknapp.

That should go down well.
