Vintage furniture fills fashion designer Deborah Sweeney's house in Wellington, New Zealand. But far from being a cluttered, antiquey space, it’s bright and simple, thanks to a pale colour scheme with hints of citrus. Sweeney found her coffee table in a South Island charity shop, but Pigeon Vintage stocks a similar 60s birch plywood table for £225. The leather sofa came from a vintage store; in the UK, try vintageseekers.com, which stocks a 60s sofa in citrus by Hans Wegner for £2,195. For a quirky lamp like Sweeney’s, try Kempton Market, and top your find with B&Q’s Briony drum shade. Sweeney found her fold-down plastic vases in Tokyo, but Amazon stocks similar.
