Homes, garages burglarized on SW Side: police

A string of burglaries have been reported recently at homes and garages in Wrightwood, Ashburn and Marquette Park on the Southwest Side.

In each incident, someone was able to force their way into the home or garage and steal property from inside, Chicago police said.

The burglaries happened at all hours of the day between Dec. 2 and Dec. 15 in:

· The 7900 block of South Maplewood Avenue;

· The 800 block of South Mozart Street;

· The 7700 block of South Troy Street;

· The 7700 block of South Albany Avenue;

· The 2200 block of West 81^st Place;

· The 7300 block of South Maplewood Avenue; and

· The 8000 block of South Artesian Avenue.

Police did not provide a description of any suspects.
