Chicago police are warning Back of the Yards residents about a series of recent home and garage burglaries in the South Side neighborhood.
In each of the six incidents, someone was able to force their way into the home or garage and steal property from inside, Chicago police said.
The burglaries happened in the afternoon and evening hours between Dec. 2 and Dec. 23 in:
· The 5100 block of South Hermitage Avenue;
· The 5300 block of South Winchester Avenue;
· The 5100 block of South Damen Avenue;
· The 5100 block of South Paulina Street;
· The 5300 block of South Winchester Avenue; and
· The 5400 block of South Paulina Street.
No suspect description was provided.
