Homes evacuated after suspected unexploded bomb discovered in Perth and Kinross town

A bomb disposal unit has been sent to a settlement in Perth and Kinross after what is believed to be an unexploded device was discovered.

Roads have been shut off and homes evacuated in Milnathort while an Explosive Ordnance Disposal team work on the item.

The device was found in the Victoria Avenue area of the town.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are currently in attendance in Milnathort after what is believed to be an unexploded ordnance device was found in the Victoria Avenue area.


"A cordon remains in place while specialist teams examine the item. A number of properties have been evacuated as a precaution."
