Homes, businesses burglarized in Marquette Park, West Englewood

A series of home and business burglaries have been reported since May 10, 2020, in Marquette Park and West Englewood, including in the 6800 block of South Bell Avenue. | Google Maps

Police are warning residents about a series of burglaries this month in Marquette Park and West Englewood on the South Side.

In each case, someone entered a home or business and stole property, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The break-ins occurred:

  • At 11:58 a.m. May 24 in the 6800 block of South Bell Avenue;
  • About 6 a.m. May 19 in the 6600 block of South Maplewood Avenue;
  • At 10:37 a.m. May 19 in the 6500 block of South Western Avenue;
  • At 4:24 a.m. May 19 in the 6700 block of South Western;
  • About 4 p.m. May 18 in the 6800 block of South Claremont Avenue;
  • About 12:30 p.m. May 11 in the 6500 block of South Maplewood; and
  • About 1:15 a.m. May 10 in the 6700 block of South Western.
