Chicago police are advising residents to lock their windows and doors following four reported home burglaries in Beverly in June and July.
In one case, the offender entered the unlocked door of a home and in the other cases, the offender kicked in the back door and took property from inside, according to a community alert from Chicago police.
The burglaries happened:
- June 11 in the 10300 block of South Bell Avenue;
- June 26 in the 9900 block of South Walden Parkway;
- July 2 in the 9800 block of South Leavitt Street; and
- July 2 in the 9900 block of South Seeley Avenue.
Two men were seen on one of the victim’s property and were seen driving a yellow sports car with non-Illinois license plates, police said.
