Homes: Antoni and Alison – in pictures

Fashion designers Antoni Burakowski and Alison Roberts, aka Antoni & Alison, run their studio from their four-storey Georgian home in Southwark, London – all raw brick, exposed beams and reclaimed furniture. The house was rotten when they bought it. “The surveyors said, walk away, but we fell in love with it,” says Antoni. A handsome panelled wood front door (from Lassco), which leads directly on to the ground-floor reception, replaced an ordinary-looking door from B&Q. Photograph: Michael Franke

This reclaimed decorative panel is from a fairground. The pair trawl British seaside towns for objects like this, and once bought several illuminations from Blackpool. The doors are from Salvo and painted a 30s eau-de-nil shade (Refresh by Crown is a good match). Photograph: Michael Franke

The ladder, which accesses a small roof terrace, is bespoke. For similar lights, try John Lewis’s ceramic Oskar pendant (£65) or Trainspotters’ reclaimed 1930s glass pendants (£220). Built-in bookcases are glass-fronted and painted eau-de-nil, as before. Photograph: Michael Franke
