Homerton shooting: Police launch probe after shots fired at car in north east London

Police have launched an investigation after a shooting in north east London.

Officers were called to Homerton High Street at about 2am on Wednesday to reports of shots fired at a car.

The silver BMW was found abandoned at the scene and had been involved in a collision.

No injuries were reported, Scotland Yard said.

A police helicopter was scrambled to search the area but there have been no arrests yet.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference 761 of May 20, or call Crimestoppers anonymously.
