Homeowner told to 'move out immediately' after finding doll's face cemented in wall

A new homeowner was advised to "move out immediately" after making a strange discovery in her basement.

House hunters tend to visit prospective properties on numerous occasions in order to be sure its the place for them.

But one key feature of the pad in question seems to have gone unnoticed until its most recent resident moved in.

The homeowner's sister, who goes by the name The Only Living Dead Girl in New York on social media, shared the horrifying discovery on Twitter and it's spooked just about everyone, reports the Mirror.

The pictures, which show the head of a tiny baby doll cemented into the wall, sparked calls from concerned people urging the homeowner to get out fast.

The post, which was titled 'My sister moved into a new house and found this in the wall of her basement' has been liked nearly 300,000 times since being shared.

And after it went viral, she replied: "Thanks everyone for your overwhelming response to my sister‘s new baby."

One user explained what they thought it was all about.

He said: "Those are cellar babies. In the late 60s/early 70s it was a trend in both NYC and California to embed doll parts in the walls of your house, including basements.

"Sometimes items were hidden inside of these as well, including newspaper clippings and (rarely) cash."

But many others were just as unnerved by the discovery as she was, with some urging her sister to pack her bags and get out.

"Yeah tf move out immediately," one said.

Another said: "Nah. It ain't her house no more. Move. Why didn't she check the basement before?!"

"OK, first of all, I understand that we’re all going to go to the 'holy crap that’s creepy' place. I’m actually thinking that it was somebody with a sense of humor and it’s funny. I would put a frame around it and keep it on the wall just like that" said a third.

A fourth joked: "Grab some holy water, sage, a preacher, curandero, or white witch," while one said: "Only go if blood starts coming out of the faucet. Then you know it's time to leave."
