Homeless young woman found dead in tent in Clondalkin

The body of a young woman believed to be homeless was discovered in a tent in south Dublin last weekend.

The 31-year-old's body was found in the Lynch's Lane area of Clondalkin in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The tragic young woman may have been dead for days with gardai saying she died some time between Wednesday, October 21 and Saturday, October 24.

A garda spokeswoman told Dublin Live: "A body of a woman (31 years) was located at Lynch’s Lane, Clondalkin in the early hours of 24 October, 2020.

"It is believed that this lady died between 21 October, and 24 October.

"A post mortem has been carried out and a file is being prepared for the Coroners Court."
