Homeless woman, 20s, found dead in Dublin city centre emergency accommodation

A homeless woman has tragically passed away in emergency accommodation in Dublin city centre.

An investigation was launched after the woman was found in her room by staff who then rang emergency services.

The woman had been staying in the accommodation, which was provided by the Dublin Regional Housing Executive, for the past two months.

Gardai confirmed a file will be prepared for the Coroner's Court, Dublin Live reports.

A spokesman said: “Gardaí were called to the scene of a sudden death of a female in her late 20s that occurred at approximately 5pm at Parkgate Street, Dublin 8, on Wednesday, January 15th.
