Homeless Street Team Glasgow to hold charity ball fundraiser

Glasgow's Homeless Street Team are to hold a charity ball this month in a bid to fundraise ahead of the winter months.

The team's generous volunteers give up their time on two nights every week to help care for those less fortunate in Glasgow, helping as many as 100 homeless people on the streets at a time.

Held in the Trades Hall in Merchant City, on August 30, there'll be a bar, buffet, silent disco, raffle prizes, auctions and a live band.

And it's hoped their efforts will ensure as many as possible living on Glasgow streets can be kept warm and cared for this winter, with several local businesses having already come forward to donate their services for the ball.

Chris Halliday, founder of Homeless Street Team, got in touch with Glasgow Live to advise there is a limited number of tickets left, from the 250 made available.

Tickets, which cost £12 each, can be purchased via the Homeless Street Team Facebook page, HERE.
