A man was attacked outside Tesco Express and taken to hospital.
The man, who the ECHO has been told is homeless and often sits outside the store, was stabbed outside the Tesco Express on Coronation Road in Crosby.
Police officers were called to Tesco Express on Coronation Road at around 8.30pm over reports of an assault.

A man in his 50s was assaulted and is said to have been "stabbed".
He suffered severe cuts to his hands and wrists and received treatment from paramedics at the scene.
A 44-year-old man was later arrested by officers on suspicion of assault.
He has since been released.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson told the ECHO: "We have arrested a 44-year-old man from Bootle after an assault in Crosby on Saturday 22 November.
"At around 8.30pm on Saturday 22 November officers were called to a report of an assault on Coronation Road.
"A man in his 50s was assaulted by another man outside of Tesco Express and suffered severe cuts to his hands and wrists.
"The man received treatment by paramedics at the scene.
"A 44-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of assault.
"The man was taken to a police station in Merseyside for questioning by detectives and has since been released on bail."
