Homeless man found dead

A HOMELESS man from Merthyr Tydfil has been found dead in a river in Derby.

Michael Coughlin's body was retrieved from the River Derwent last Friday morning by police officers.

It is not yet known how the 43-year-old died and investigations are continuing but his death is not being treated as suspicious.

Mr Coughlin had been sleeping rough around the country and moved to Derby weeks ago.
