Homeless man brutally attacked in broad daylight outside sandwich shop

A homeless man was brutally attacked in broad daylight outside a sandwich shop in central London.

Shocking footage shows the attacker, who had been queuing in the line for a sandwich bar, suddenly begin kicking the homeless person as he sat in a nook outside the shop.

The attacker kicked his victim multiple times during the assault on Thursday, March 28 outside Dilieto Sandwich Bar, near the City's busy financial district.

City of London Police today released CCTV footage of the "violent and senseless" assault, which took place at about 12.20pm.

PC Sam Lowe, from the City of London Police’s Communities Team, said: "This was a violent and senseless attack on a vulnerable person.

"The attacker was queuing up outside the sandwich shop along with many other people.
