Homelander’s dream has come true: There is now breast milk ice cream

There are some things we just don’t need in this world. Like ice cream that is meant to be “breast milk” flavored. You know what I’ve never wanted to taste? Breast milk. So I don’t really want my ice cream to be my first adventure.

Released by the company OddFellows, their parent company, Frida, shared the news about the ice cream and I am glad that a character like Homelander from The Boys at least has that going for him. According to the statement, the “breast milk” inspired ice cream is “sweet, a little salty, smooth, with hints of honey and sprinkles of colostrum, and features a distinct colostrum yellow tinge.”

The ice cream actually consists of “milk, heavy cream, skim milk powder, sugar, dextrose, egg yolks, invert sugar, guar gum, salted caramel flavoring, honey syrup, liposomal bovine colostrum, yellow food color, 0.1% propylparaben (preservative), and FD&C Red 40.”

If you are THAT into the idea, you can purchase your own breast milk ice cream on the Frida website.

Not to shame anyone but why? I mean you could have named this literally anything else and I’d probably try it but the idea of it being “breast milk” flavored is enough for me to sign off on it. Not to shame the idea of breast milk, babies do have to eat, but that’s their deal. Not mine. So whenever there is some new celebrity trend with breast milk, I tend to sign off.

Even if someone said that breast milk would make me live 30 years longer, I’d have to have a real hard think about if it was worth it or not because I just would rather NOT and now making fun flavors and calling them “breast milk” just feels like something Homelander would do. If you want to try it that badly, there is a pop-up event at OddFellows’ location in Dumbo, Brooklyn, New York, from August 5-10.
