Home and garden retailer Homebase have slashed the price of a garden furniture set, making the corner sofa cheaper than alternatives from Aldi and The Range. As part of a Bank Holiday sale, the high street brand has discounted the rattan set by 20 per cent.
Homebase’s Alexandria Rattan Sofa Set was originally £360, but has been reduced to £288 for a limited time, saving shoppers £72 on the original price, the Mirror reports.
The reduced rate makes the set cheaper than Aldi’s Anthracite & Grey Corner Sofa at £299.99 and one from The Range, which is £399.99.

The closest in price is a four-seater sofa set for £288, from Argos, which comes in grey and brown.
The Homebase garden set - also available in two colours - comes with a glass table, an L-shaped sofa and removable cushions. Some impressed shoppers have already left five-star reviews of the outdoor furniture set on the Homebase website.
One happy customer said: "Needed some comfortable seating for the garden at a reasonable cost. This filled the bill and arrived very quickly."
A second agreed, adding: "I love this piece of furniture. It was a great price. Speedy delivery and really easy to put together. It looks stylish and fits really well in anyone's garden."
But not all shoppers were impressed with the sofa set, as some found it hard to assemble. One three-star reviewer said it was "very fiddly" to put together.
The Alexandria Rattan Effect Garden Corner Sofa Set is part of an offer where shoppers can get 20 per cent off all garden furniture sets. Running for a limited time, it's only available on the Homebase website - but you'll need to be fast to make a saving.
Customers have the option to click-and-collect the sofa set from their nearest store for free. As the item is over £100, you'll also receive free delivery.
Aldi shoppers can also save on garden furniture this Bank Holiday Monday, with their huge garden specialbuys sale set to end soon. Selected products have been reduced by 40 per cent when customers use the code OUTDOOR40 - although the outdoor sofa isn't included in the deal.
