Homebase has slashed the price of its egg chair by £130 and it’s cheaper than one from Argos

Homebase shoppers are in luck because the home improvement retailer has slashed the price of its egg chair, and it's perfect for the summer months.

Now setting you back £220, down from £350, the "Rattan Pod Egg Chair" is cheaper than similar chairs from Robert Dyas and Argos.

Roberty Dyas is selling its outdoor egg chair for £299.99, while Argos sells a similar version for £250.

The Homebase egg chair is made of rattan material and also comes complete with a comfy padded cushion to sit on. It is currently one of the cheapest on the market - so don't hang about if you're keen to get one for your home.

A description on the Homebase website reads: "This pod chair is an extremely comfortable seat. It cocoons you and the cushion is as soft as a cloud. A perfect retreat."

The sturdy chair is designed with steel legs and supports weight up to 110kg.

Customers can get the outdoor chair sent to their home for free if they choose standard delivery, or it's £6 if you want it delivered the next day or want to choose a specific date.

There's also the option to get it delivered to a store instead of your home, however this will cost you £6. Or you can opt for click and collect if the chair is in stock at your nearest branch for free.

If you want to check if it's in stock at your local, you can find out your nearest Homebase using its handy store locator tool.

Egg chairs have proved extremely popular this year, with versions sold by Aldi and B&M selling out almost instantly.

Aldi's original hanging egg chair tends to sell out immediately due to it being one of the most popular designs.

Customers were also left disappointed after a new version of the egg chair which has room for two people also sold out immediately.

If you're looking to kit out your garden with some new items, Aldi's garden range for kids includes a picnic bench and sun lounger that won't break the bank.

The swanky new range which is made just for little ones is available until the 12th August. As the line is part of the Specialbuys section, we have a feeling the items won’t be around for long, so you better act fast if you want to treat your kids this summer.

In good news for bargain-hunters, Wilko is running a massive summer sale with up to half price off cushions, toasters and BBQs.

The high street chain's ‘Red Hot Summer Sale’ includes homeware, kitchenware and garden essentials to help shoppers freshen up their spaces for less.
