Home workout app offers free trial to everyone in Liverpool as gyms ordered to close

People living in Liverpool can enjoy a two-week free trial of a home workout app, after the government announced all gyms and leisure centres in the Liverpool City Region under the Tier 3 lockdown restrictions.

At Home Wellbeing, is an online fitness and wellbeing app, and it is offering support to the people of Liverpool by giving them a chance to use the app for 14 days free of charge.

Users can take part in classes including yoga, strength, body conditioning, pilates, dance, combat and HiiT, plus get health and wellbeing tips and news.

You can also try meditation and mindfulness both in audio and class format.

One of the directors Paul Edmondson said: "We are a new UK based business which promotes fitness and wellbeing at home or when travelling.

"Our platform provides a huge variety of fitness classes for all ages and abilities, most of which do not require any equipment, making it perfect for when you are at home or on the move."

To take up the trial download the app from the App store or Google play store and enter voucher code LIV14FREE.

This will give you full access to the app, free of charge for 14 days. After the two-week trial is over, the app will not automatically sign anyone up to a subscription. You will, however, be able to join if they choose to at the cost of only £5.99 per month.

If you do sign up, then for every subscriber, they will donate £1 of every monthly subscription (for the term you are a subscriber) to a local charity too.

This offer may come in handy for gym-goers who can no longer take part in classes after the government announced that Liverpool City Region would be subject to tighter restrictions.

Pubs, bars, gyms, betting shops, casinos, and adult gaming centres across Liverpool, Wirral, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens and Halton will close as part of tough Tier 3 coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

These restrictions will come in from Wednesday, October 14.
