Home Meadows care home in Toft welcomes new manager to the team

A care home near Cambridge has a new manager joining its team.

Experienced care specialist Laura Adams has joined Home Meadows, in Toft, west of Cambridge.

Ms Adams, who lives in Bedfordshire, brings years of experience in home management to the role.

She began her career as a care assistant 15 years ago, before progressing to more senior ranks and eventually specialising in home management – a role she has held for the last five years.

Having worked as a senior carer, team leader and deputy manager, Ms Adams was promoted to management roles and soon specialised in turning homes round that were in need of improvement.

In her most recent role, she worked across Hertfordshire, providing support and best practice advice for homes that were looking to make positive changes to areas of their service.

Ms Adams said: “Having read about Home Meadow, and the wider Healthcare Homes Group, I felt that the values of the organisation mirrored my own and that with a clear focus on residents, this was somewhere I could make a real contribution.

“The home is already performing well, rated as ‘good’ in all areas by the CQC. I don’t just want to maintain this, I want to build on it so we can enhance the services we already offer and ensure that we continue to provide a home that is based entirely on resident wellbeing.”
