Home Improvement star Jonathan Taylor Thomas seen in public for first time in 8 years

Jonathan Taylor Thomas has been seen in public for the first time in eight years.

The former Hollywood star, 39, was last seen in public in 2013.

Jonathan had risen to fame in the 1990s for his role as Randy Taylor in the hit sitcom Home Improvement.

Appearing opposite Toy Story legend Tim Allen as his on-screen father, Jonathan starred in the show throughout his teenage years before departing the show during its final season in 1998 to focus on academia.

He also voiced the young Simba in the 1994 classic Disney animated film The Lion King before voicing Pinnochio in the 1996 New Line Cinema film The Adventures of Pinnochio.

Now in June, Jonathan was seen out walking his dog in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie, and a blue baseball cap adorned with the New York Mets logo, Jonathan cut a casual figure as he was seen with his face mask lowered and sunglasses over his eyes.

In addition to his role on Home Improvement, Jonathan appeared in the films Man of the House, Wild America, I Woke Up Early the Day I Died, and Speedway Junky.

His television credits also included guest roles in Ally McBeal, The Simpsons, Veronica Mars, and Smallville.

Jonathan was last seen making an on-screen appearance as John Baker in four episodes of Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing in 2015.

In 2013, Jonathan had revealed to People magazine why he had walked away from fame.

He told the publication: 'I'd been going nonstop since I was eight years old. I wanted to go to school, to travel and have a bit of a break."

The former actor also revealed that he was delighted by to enjoy being surrounded by people his own age as a student doing courses at Harvard and Columbia College in America and St. Andrew's University in Scotland.

“To sit in a big library amongst books and students, that was pretty cool,” he revealed.

Jonathan also explained that his period of fame does not define who he is.

"When I think back on the time, I look at it with a wink," he noted. "I focus on the good moments I had, not that I was on a lot of magazine covers."

According to Celebrity Net Worth, it is estimated that Jonathan is worth $16million, so he shall hopefully be living a comfortable lifestyle away from the spotlight.
