HYDERABAD: A home guard driving a police vehicle allegedly under the influence of alcohol hit three people at Tadbun in the Old City on Monday evening. The victims suffered minor injuries. A case was registered against the driver who was sent to hospital for blood alcohol test.
“We have sent him to hospital to check if he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident,” Kalapathar inspector S Sudarshan said.
According to police, home guard P Srinivas is the driver of an inspector working with the South Zone Police Control Room. At around 4pm on Monday, he was on his way from the control room to his house in Chandrayangutta when he lost control near Tadbun X roads and hit the three pedestrians. tnn
