A firefighter has been transported to hospital with a shoulder injury following a house fire at Maryland on Wednesday morning.
About 4.15am, Fire and Rescue NSW crews responded to multiple reports of a house fire on Wyndrow Parade.
Six fire trucks attended the scene where, on arrival, crews found a medium sized brick home engulfed in flames.
Fire and Rescue NSW said the roof collapsed during the fire but there were no reports of injured residents.
Ambulance NSW paramedics were also in attendance and transported the firefighter who suffered a shoulder injury to John Hunter Hospital.
NSW Police are investigating the cause of the fire but are not treating it as suspicious.
Firefighters successfully extinguished the fire about an hour after arriving at the home.
