Popular affordable 'fine dining' restaurant Six By Nico is attempting to keep the flag flying (and the bills paid) by offering a delivery or collection service for Fridays and Saturdays.
The brainchild of chef Nico Simeone, Six By Nico's menu revolves around a six course tasting menu that changes every six weeks and revolves around various themes.
In the past, diners have been delighted by a Willy Wonka themed menu, and enjoyed contemporary takes on Mexican cuisine.
The new Home By Nico initiative promises to "brings you a delectable dining experience using locally sourced produce, re-creating the restaurant experience at your own dining table.
"Every Friday we will open pre-orders exclusively via email, for your Home by Nico experience to be delivered to your home the following Friday or Saturday.
"Our Home by Nico Experience brings the restaurant experience to your home, with our meals being fully prepared all you have to do is oven and serve – meaning you can enjoy your experience as and when you please!"
Chef Nico Simeone said:
"Many of our customers are missing the ritual of going out to eat but being at home during the isolation period doesn’t have to mean going without the finest restaurant cooking.
"Our new Home by Nico dining experience will allow customers to enjoy unique ready-to-bake meals accompanied by exquisite wines in the comfort of your own home."
Home By Nico is being offered for delivery or safe collection from Six By Nico's Glasgow, Edinburgh or Belfast locations - delivery in Edinburgh is limited to a six mile radius of Hanover Street.
