It has been such a humbling experience to be doing something I love and know I am making a difference to my clients. I am very passionate about using music as a vehicle to improve people’s quality of life.
I started Gospel Essence back in 2010. We sing at weddings, support artists and perform at various events. I have been a freelance vocal coach for about three years and I have an amazing opportunity to open my own studio, AmisStar Vocal Studios, later this month. This will allow me to create a music hub in the heart of Romford.
I have worked with infants using music as a learning and development tool, and have seen autistic children interact for the first time as a direct result of my sessions.
I have worked with young people with low self-esteem and mental health issues who I coached to perform with a live band and audience in Mayfair, London. I have also worked with mature adults in community choir set-ups.
My experience proves that music can add value at any stage of life. This strengthens my belief that there is a need for business like mine. I am proud that this year I have gone from running my business from my bedroom to taking part in the National Wedding Show in Earls Court and opening up my own vocal studio, which is a place to gain confidence and learn from industry experts.
