The nature of my business oozes creativity in its own right, and over the past 12 months I have been fortunate enough to create fantastic floral designs for 85 weddings - all from the living room of my parents’ house!
Running as a one-woman band has been serious hard work; both the physical creation side of things, and also from a marketing perspective. A home-run business isn’t easy to get out there – you have to be brave – but I have loved every minute of it so far.
I have ambition, and that reflects onto the working ethics of my business. As the sole driving force behind Concept Flowers, there have been some moments where the passion I have for my career and the desire to succeed, is what has got me through.
I believe that it not only takes determination, but also time to get places. Through creativity, thinking outside the box, and of course, ambition, I have been able to take steps to ensure a secure future for my business.
The impact this has had last year, especially after winning at the Dorset Wedding Supplier Awards in 2013, has meant a huge increase in popularity and in bookings, which have more than doubled since my first year in business and look set to double again for 2015.
This year expansion is on the cards, something which I am very proud to have achieved.
