Nursery goods is a busy sector with many long-established companies with teams of staff and big budgets. Demonstrating the strength of the Babycup brand and the benefits of my product is vital.
Launched to retail in 2013, Babycup’s baby and toddler first cups are mini open cups for cup-feeding infants or drinking from weaning onwards. Babycup is the right size for little hands and little mouths and being an open cup, Babycup encourages sipping and fine motor skills. Dentists and orthodontists recommend Babycup because it does not have the potential to cause dental decay that spouts and teats can.
Working with health experts helps communicate to end users and to retailers the big impact this little cup can have. I chose to manufacture in the UK and the ‘Made in Britain’ tag shows that Babycup can be trusted. Parents want to be certain their children are drinking from safe materials so this is very important.
I use social media to help spread the Babycup word and get involved with a relevant audience, while still juggling school runs, home work and life with a young family.
My children were the inspiration for Babycup and they continue to be heavily involved. One of my youngest proudly poses with one of a raft of awards I have been delighted to win for Babycup. As chief Babycup tester she is just as much a part of bringing this product to life as I am.
