Home burglaries reported in South Shore

Police are warning residents about a series of home burglaries reported this month in South Shore.

In each case, someone entered apartments or houses through windows or side doors and took property from inside, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The first break-in happened between 7 p.m. Oct. 4 and 2:10 a.m. Oct. 5 in the 6800 block of South Crandon Avenue, police said. Another happened between 11:40 a.m. and 11:50 a.m. Oct. 11 in the 6900 block of South Crandon.

A third burglary was reported about 4 p.m. Oct. 11 in the 2200 block of East 68th Street, police said.

No suspect description was available for any of the incidents, according to police.
