
Police are warning North Park and Albany Park residents of home burglaries that happened in January on the Northwest Side.
In two of the cases, the suspect broke int through the front door and stole property, Chicago police said in a community alert. In another case, the suspect got into the home by forcing open a kitchen window.
The burglaries happened:
- At 11:53 a.m. Jan. 13 in the 5300 block of North Bernard Street;
- Between 11:15 a.m. and 2:35 p.m. Jan. 28 in the 5500 block of North Spaulding Avenue; and
- Between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 28 in the 5100 block of North Kilbourn Avenue.
The suspect in the incident on Bernard is described as a 35 to 45-year-old man standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 145 pounds, police said. He was wearing a blue coat.
