Retail giant Home Bargains has announced a new £2m store is to open in Liverpool this weekend creating over 100 jobs.
The firm will open the 20,828sq ft site at Montrose Retail Park on Edge Lane, adding to its network of around 575 UK locations.
The firm said it has created 105 new jobs for the local community - with a further six members of staff and management transferring from other stores.

It will also donate £2,000 to local charity, The Joseph Lappin Centre – a community-based hub in Old Swan that provides holistic services to strengthen the community and raise aspirations for people of all ages and abilities.
Michael Jones, the new store manager, said: “I started my Home Bargains journey back in 2015 as a store supervisor in our Alban Retail Park site, but since then I’ve held a variety of roles at several of our stores – most recently as acting store manager at Prescot Road, Old Swan.
“However, opening our new Edge Lane store alongside such a fantastic team, who have worked exceptionally hard to get the new store ready, will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of my career.”
Opening around 50 stores a year, Home Bargains says it is "bucking current trends in the industry".
Kate McCormick, manager at The Joseph Lappin Centre, added: “On behalf of everyone at The Joseph Lappin Centre a huge thank you to your staff for choosing to support us.
"We are absolutely delighted to receive this donation. We are a small community organisation trying to make a big difference with very limited funds; this money will help us to do that. We wish Home Bargains every success with the opening of its new store."
