Home Bargains shoppers say 'someone should be jailed' after spotting item detail

Home Bargains shoppers said 'someone should be in prison' after spotting a detail in a new item promotion.

Bargain-hunters took to social media after getting distracted while they checked out the retailers newly released lamp online.

The shop frequently keeps shoppers updated on its homeware and fashion items, and taking to its Facebook page this week, Home Bargains shared a photo, originally posted by self-proclaimed "cleaning addict" Leanne of Instagram account @110renovation, of its Ports of Call by Jeff Banks: Rattan Table Lamp but its followers quickly focused on something else.

Alongside the photo, the retailer wrote: "The type of Sunday set up we love to see - a brew and our gorgeous rattan lamp. Buy online now: https://bit.ly/3eBzGti

“Thanks 110renovation on Instagram for sharing!”

However, it's not the rattan lamp shoppers are paying attention to but the cup of tea shown alongside it instead, reports our sister title the Liverpool Echo.

While some praised the £12.99 lamp, others just couldn’t help but comment on the cup of tea shown in the photo.

Among the comments, one shopper said: “You need less milk in that tea though…” and a second wrote: “That tea looks a bit weak”.

A third said: “That tea needs life support”.

A fourth shopper added: "That is not 'a brew'” and a fifth said: “Ewww throw another teabag in, needs some more strength”.

A sixth said: "Whoever made that tea should be in prison”.

Another added: “Who made that tea? Arrest them!”.
