Home Bargains shoppers rave about 'unreal' £1.99 find that saves £89

Home Bargains fans have been wowed after spotting a couple of cheap finds instore that they say are 'just like' designer high-end products.

For the past few months, the affordable retailer has been making perfume 'dupes' of expensive fragrances that cost just a couple of pounds to buy. They're available in scents such as Elegant Pomegranate and Elegant Jasmine and Honey, with shoppers raving about how similar they are to Jo Malone perfumes.

For men, there's the 'Jour' scent, which has been likened to Joop! Homme. And in recent weeks, eagle-eyed shoppers have discovered even more affordable perfumes that are similar to fragrances that cost as much as £90.

Manchester Evening News reports that a video was posted to TikTok in which a shopper raves about these new £1.99 perfumes, claiming they smell 'just like the originals'.

Beauty lover Georgia gushed about the latest fragrances, and said: "Home Bargains have stepped up their game and they have released brand new perfume dupes - and a lot of them. I smelt them all and they smelt so good - just like the originals.

"And they are so cheap - like £1.99 cheap. It’s unreal."

In the clip, she showed off the £1.99 Oh Yes! and Dreamy Summer perfumes, comparing them to Georgio Armani Si and Marc Jacobs Daisy respectively.

Miss Chicago is said to be a dupe of Chanel No 5, which usually retails at £91 for 50ml, so could save shoppers up to £89. Meanwhile, Opal Black - likened to YSL’s Black Opium - had proven so popular, it had sold out.

In the video's comments, people were stunned at the low prices and many couldn't wait to go to their nearest branch to get their hands on some.

“I’ve got the Oh Yes perfume dupe! I’d only found these when I was Xmas shopping. Love Oh Yes.”

Another added: “I want the Daisy one!” While third wrote: “I’m going to the shops on Monday so this will be my first stop.”

Other people were still firm fans of the Jo Malone dupes, which are priced at £3.99 each. Manchester Evening News previously reviewed the Pomegranate fragrance and can confirm claims that it ‘lasts all day.’

One happy customer wrote: "I've had the pomegranate one for ages and get so many compliments on it and it actually lasts!"

"The pomegranate one is beautiful so strong," another added, with another fan commenting: "I have the elegant jasmine and honey, smells really nice."

You can find the fragrances in your nearest Home Bargains store - but be quick before they sell out.
